Lev Orlovsky was one of the leading masters of the Imperial Glass Factory at the turn of the 20th Century.
The goblets were created in imitation of glasses which were in use in the 18th century. From the time of Peter the Great goblets and shofts (decanters) were decorated with allegorical compositions, portraits and monograms of Russian emperors and empresses.
